Anxiety can make you feel as if you are losing control of yourself; it can make you feel physically uncomfortable, even physically sick. It can affect the way you think and feel about what is happening to you. You may find yourself unable to concentrate or to sleep or relax when you need to. Counselling allows us the time and space to listen to ourselves, take back control, understand why this is happening to us, learn relaxation techniques and gradually achieve a sense of calm and reflection.
