I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and keep at all times to their Code of Ethics.
I have over ten years experience of counselling and mediation as well as delivering workshops in schools, communities and various organizations. I have been employed by the Council, Universities, worked for local health centres and voluntary bodies such as Mindline as well as supervising counsellors.
Working closely with communities and organisations I enjoy facilitating groups and have delivered workshops on request such as: “Making Choices for the Future”: “Adjusting to Change” and “Engaging with diversity and difference.”
I have lived in both the inner cities and the country and am aware of the different feelings of isolation and uncertain identity that people can experience. I have specialised in understanding issues of belonging and identity. I believe in engendering an intersectional approach to difference to allow everyone their own personal identity.

I have worked for Devon County Council’s Well Being at Work program and had the honour of being interviewed as part of their Black History Month, Saluting Our Sisters. The recording and link is below. In response to 3 questions asked, I clarify what I have found challenging and inspirational in my life, my heritage and how it may have influenced me, and how I would advise children, young people and adults who have experienced racism. The recording conveys my general approach to life.
